NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT - June 16, 2006 is the deadline for students
enrolling for the 2006 -2007 school year.
CLASSES BEGIN - Tuesday, September 5, 2006. Students are scheduled
for a full day of school.
TEACHER INSTITUTE DAYS (+) - Wednesday, August 30, 2006; Thursday, August 31, 2006; Friday, September 1, 2006 and Thursday, June 14, 2007. On these days teachers are
to report at the regular time. Institute days are non-attendance days
for students and are days held or approved by the State Superintendent
of Instruction for teacher inservice workshops or equivalent professional
educational experiences such as educational gatherings, demonstrations
of instructional materials, visitation of other schools, institutions
or facilities. Teacher Institute Days are fully principal-directed.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAYS (#) Friday, November 3, 2006;
Friday, January 26, 2007; Friday, April 13, 2007 and Wednesday, June 13, 2007. On these days teachers are to report
at the regular time. These are non-attendance days for students. Professional
development days are half principal directed/half teacher directed.
HALF DAY STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAYS FOR SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLANNING (BOLD DATES) - School directed PD: Tuesday, September 26, 2006, Tuesday, November 14, 2006, Tuesday, January 16, 2007, Wednesday, March 07, 2007, and Tuesday, May 01, 2007. Central Office/Area Office Directed PD: Thursday, October 19, 2006, Friday, December 08, 2006, Thursday, February 08, 2007, Thursday, March 29, 2007, and Wednesday, May 23, 2007.
PROGRESS REPORT DISTRIBUTION DAYS - Elementary and High Schools will distribute Student Progress Reports during the 5th week of each marking period on Friday, October 06, 2006, Friday, December 08, 2006, Friday, March 02, 2007, and Friday, May 18, 2007.
REPORT CARD PICKUP / PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE DAYS (PE PH) - Elementary
schools on Wednesday, November 08, 2006 and Wednesday, April 18, 2007;
high schools on Thursday, November 09, 2006 and Thursday, April 19, 2007.
The elementary school dates are non-attendance days for students in elementary
schools. The high school dates are non-attendance days for students in
high schools.
REPORT CARD DISTRIBUTION DAYS - For second marking period, Wednesday, January 31, 2007; for fourth marking period, Friday, June 15, 2007.
WINTER VACATION - Schools close at the end of the school day on
Friday, December 22, 2006 and reopen on Monday, January 8, 2007.
SPRING VACATION - Schools close for students at the end of the school day on
Friday, March 30, 2007 and reopen on Monday, April 09, 2007.
GRADUATION DATES - Elementary school graduation dates may not
be held prior to the week of June 11, 2007. High school graduation dates
may not be held prior to Friday, June 08, 2007.
KINDERGARTEN PRE-REGISTRATION - The suggested date is April 16,
2007 through April 20, 2007.
SUMMER VACATION- Schools close for students on Friday, June 15,
2007.
REGULAR SUMMER SCHOOL SESSIONS FOR ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS
GRADES 3-6-8 SUMMER PROGRAM will operate for six weeks beginning Monday, June 18, 2007 and ending Friday, July 27, 2007.
HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM will operate for seven weeks and may start on June 18, June 25, or July 2, 2007 at the discretion of the high school and end on August 3, August 10, or August 17, 2007.
